| | How to ProceedIf the plane you are working on weighs less than 3400 lbs., BRS has a parachute canopy that will likely handle the weight. The speed range and a desired timetable for completion are also important, so please compile this information before you call. The most important thing is how this canopy is installed on the specific plane, which is the builder's responsibility and the area of most customization.
We will send you a "parachute installation manual" which can help you understand what will be involved, as well as prepare you for the questions you will have.
If we already have designs for similar aircraft, or other builders have adapted designs, we can make you aware of these.
You should budget between $3,000 and $12,500 for the hardware you will need. Smaller-weight aircraft will be less expensive.
We will have you sign some paperwork, send in a deposit, and have you photo-document any installations so we can evaluate your progress and make sure your design intent is solid. |
